Late to the game, as I just finished watching this right now, over two days. I even skipped some of it to try and run away from the lag I felt while watching. It didn't help. It was mediocre and the leads, Nia and Idina, who are talented in their own right, should have just made a friends movie, maybe something like Beaches, but not copy the original. There is no copying the original. It rarely if ever works. But hey, it's Lifetime, so I get it. Lifetime gets away with a lot of mediocrity because that's its schtick--givin' 'em just enough story to not be terrible but far from great. I'm giving it two stars because I respect the lead actresses and it wasn't horrible, just not memorable.
