The Punisher is possibly the most real incarnation of comic book heroes since The Dark Night. It is certainly not for the faint hearted and the writers and director brought a level of complexity in The Punisher's psychological mix that leaves you at the edge of the seat. The plot did not show any compromises to make the character more likeable or more super-hero-like. Season 2 in particular gives Emmy-worthy performance from Jon Bernthal (Frank Castle) and notable acting by Giorgia Whigham, Jason R. Moore and Ben Barnes. Bringing Giorgia's character in Season 2 gave the show a fresh feel moving it away from the Daredevil world. Definitely worth having a third season. Netflix and Marvel have created something special here and it would be a real shame to kill the show because of Disney-Netflix politics
