Quite a disappointment. I’m a history geek - my expectations of film treatments of various periods in history are I think realistic - but this movie didn’t come close to doing justice to the story and history between these Queens. Alternating between silly and disjointed with flat, one dimensional performances. The murder of Rizzo has no logical leadup and was unnecessarily graphic, whereas an early battle was almost funny. I’d been so looking forward to this movie and ended up leaving it before the end.
