I liked not loved I absolutely LOVED the original movie but this one was just mediocre. The ending did not touch me. The actors did not show enough emotions and the song choice was bad. With the actor's amazing voices, the soundtrack should have been superb. Oprah definitely should have reached out to the soundtrack producers of Dreamgirls, Waiting to Exhale, and Madea’s Family Reunion to help compose music. I felt more emotions and better acting could have been done in a few of Fantasia's parts. The standard was set so high for the original movie that I cry every time I see it as if it's my first time, I did not cry one time during the movie and barely laughed. It did not meet my expectations! Very disappointed!
