The movie is fun; it’s rich cinematography gives you something to chew on and it’s delicious. I was prepared for a clichéd story line. Yet the film is not formulaic. However, it has too many holes to give it a five-star rating. Why Dr Corvus gave him the manuscript is inferred from surrounding dialogue, but then it’s dropped. The movie also doesn’t answer how Pope, the publisher, and the jilted defense client fit into the cabal. Had that possibility been developed this would have been a top-notch thriller.
