I've been stuck in a reading slump lately, and have just grown bored with reading. Maybe its the seasonal depression, maybe its the ADHD, we'll never know! But, this was one book I simply could not force myself to read, mythology has never felt important or significant to me in any way, so It makes sense why I wouldnt like a book with this title. The beginning was slow for sure, Im sure if i tried to read it again I would grow interested in it and it could potentially be a wonderful book, but until then 2/5 stars :/

I definitely think the hype around this book was unnecessary, I found this writing style to be boring and pretentious. The plot and rising/falling actions come very slowly throughout the book. I would recommend if you like to know every small detail of a story, or if you truly just like boring reads.

The writing in this book was beautiful and heart touching. The love story between these two people is so deceiving yet emotional, Sally Rooney did well with this one. Sadly, I was disappointed to be bored with one of her other books "Beautiful world, where are you?", other than that piece of writing, she is an incredible author.
