How he must feel remembering all those who perished in the Vietnam conflict. A father and daughter who loved each other very much, but Asian father not familiar with American life. A daughter born in America with Asian parents traumatized trying to understand American ways with Vietnamize customs. It’s not easy. She lost her mother at a critical age. No mother to talk to. She spent time in Vietnam trying to understand her family’s country and was better able to understand her father. Now she has the ability to find a place to call home, just like her father.
