I watched this movie in theaters and it was an amazing experience. I'm not a horror/thriller enthusiast, but lately, I've been enjoying movies in these categories. I bought my tickets having just watched a small section of the trailer, so I didn't know much about the movie. Overall, I really enjoyed watching Abigail. There were many fun and hilarious moments which I appreciated. Also, it was nice to see that there wasn't a lot of dancing as I expected. I think the dancing scenes were well placed/thought out. I have to emphasize that the cast did an amazing job, especially Alisha Weir "Abigail," who's only fourteen years old but was the highlight of the movie in my opinion. But I also enjoyed the performances of Melissa Barrera, Kathryn Newton, Kevin Durand, Dan Stevens, Angus Cloud, and Giancarlo Esposito. I do have to admit that I didn't expect the plotwist and was very surprised by it. There was a lot of blood and graphic scenes, which didn't bother me, but if you are someone who doesn't do well watching that kind of stuff, then I wouldn't recommend it. I'm giving the movie a 4/5 stars rating just because I found some scenes boring, but other than that, I would watch it again.
