Any movie with Mark Ruffalo is going to be excellent. He is an actor’s actor, so true to his character and craft. And Kiera Knightly is so lovable in this film. She’s not a great singer, but you can’t help but love her character, who is so committed to the craft of her music and couldn’t care less about money and fame. And no Hollywood ending. Big applause to John Carney, who wrote and directed this beautiful film.

This is simply the best TV show I’ve ever seen. It can evoke tears of laughter one minute, and regular tears the next. It’s on a whole different level from other TV shows, because Ricky Gervais is such a brilliant man, philosopher and human being.
