As a lymphodema sufferer for many years I welcomed this book’s publication but was surprised and shocked by paragraph 2 on page 2 of the book.
This paragraph states
1) that the lymphatic system has no symptoms when something is wrong. My swollen arm and inflammation is a constant daily reminder and symptom of this condition.
2) “you can’t diagnose a blockage with imaging techniques “
This is in direct contradiction to a procedure developed by Dr. Jean Paul Belgrado called lymphofluoroscopy.
As a yoga teacher, I’m very happy to see that yoga has been recommended in the book. However, there is no regard to the safety of the poses (asanas) recommended in the chapter. Not a single illustration was included to show what the poses might look like .
Overall I find this book disappointing in its “carelessness” and inaccurate claims.
