I loved the first episode. I really bought into the authenticity of the show until tonight. We were watching the episode were the 2 step kids were pranking their electrician step dad. Episode 8. So there was a scene where he is standing in front of a light switch and talking to the "homeowner". The light switch is completely intact. The next shot the wires are all hanging out and down. He then says he has to go out to his truck to get his tools. He comes back and the switch is completely intact. He then begins to unscrew the plate. My husband and I looked at each other confused. So now my opinion is that its not authentic at all. Watch that part of the episode and determine for yourself. I'm done with the show.

When we were deciding to renovate our kitchen, I binge watched this show. I loved Kenny (the contractor). He was practical and honest and appeared to have a real concern about safety. Todd was funny and he dealt with a ton of cutting comments and seemed to let it flow off like water off a ducks back. I'm sure that wasn't easy sometimes. Jillian is super creative. She certainly faced a ton of stress from all the things that cropped up and the emotions from the homeowners. All that said, while I give her props for dealing with all that and being pregnant in season 4 & 5. I found her comments towards Todd (and sometimes Kenny) very harsh, personal and critical. While Todd made some jokes, they appeared to be more vague in nature, while Jillian's were very personal. Remarks, such as "having to see your face.....". If you have watched the show you will know what I mean. At times I had to cringe. I searched the internet for more background info about the show but nothing addressed this particular issue. I really seemed that she didn't like her co-stars very much and it certainly appeared that way in her remarks. Thankfully, I recorded the shows and fast forwarded through many parts where they interacted alone.

I really enjoyed all their shows. This season of Home Project is my favourite because they are show casing average family homes. The homes are unique and older homes. I love that they put a contingency plan in place for issues that arise with older homes. As a home owner of a older home its nice to see this show being realistic. I binge watched their series with 1 other to renovate our old outdated small kitchen. Thanks to them, I was prepared for the worst. Actually, it went well. I think they'd love our new eat in kitchen.

I loved Aaron Abrams and Ennis Esmer in Blindspot. So I was intrigued to see them in this show. I've only seen the pilot. It appears to have potential. Hopefully they portray real life situations with kids because that can have a lot of laughs. So far I liked it. Update March 2023 - After watching season 2 I have to say this show is awesome. I think I liked season 2 more. However, my only criticism is that (spoiler Alert - don't read further if you haven't seen season 2) they don't show Astrid's pregnancy. There could have been some really funny scenarios that could have played out. I really hope there will be a season 3!!!!
