As a mother of two, and of color, I raised my children to be very aware of the injustices, because of my past experiences growing up in the US.
I'm now a grandmother and although my grandson is only 6 years, he is being taught to be aware of them as well.
I highly recommend “When They See Us” to everyone!
These five innocent kids were accused, coerced, prosecuted and wrongfully convicted of a crime they did not commit,
Although the nightmare for these five kids began in 1989, I see that it continues to happen today on a regular basis.
I truly commend those five children who at first were naïve and vulnerable enough to cooperate in the beginning, for holding on to the fact that did not do it.
Those involved as I see it, assisted the actual perpetrator…for he continued to rape and kill…while they were fulfilling their own delusions that people of color are guilty no matter what the lack of evidence portrays.
Anyone who took any part in allowing this to happen are nothing but Cowards, and a total disgrace! They deserve to be prosecuted and incarcerated without an offer of parole.
