Being a history buff, and really enjoying how personal stories are portrayed through cinema, this movie didn't do much to entice my appreciation of either. It's all over the place and the dialog had me confused for 2 out of 3 hours. The first half hour is a waste. The music was horrible. After about 15 minutes of what should be tension building, the score was the same...always tense, always evoking drama that never happens. There might have been some dramatic moments, but they were all lost on me because I was trying to hear what was being said over the constant noise of the tense music. It was like cumulative PTSD after a while where nothing exciting was happening any more, but the music would make you think there was. Instead, it just trudged on and on. The only thing this movie really did was make we wonder what this Oppenheimer guy is all about. I got the gist and the story line, but they were all over the place with the portrayal of the main character.
