Faithful to the source material, and subsequent adaptations— yet refreshing in the greater focus placed on certain storylines. If you're a longtime Watchmen fan, nothing's going to grab you here so much, but if you're new to this; it'll be a ride. A part of me was skeptical about the choice of animation, however it's something that quickly consumes you, and really made me wonder what on earth was happening with the choices for the Tomorrowverse. Go figure. I can't help but draw parallels to Snyder's Watchmen however. A lot of portrayals feel as though they seek to match that, or at the very least used it as a foundation. That's fine, but it leaves barely any room for anyone to do something truly iconic. No harm though, it does nothing to the story. Can't wait for Chapter 2! You should see it too.
