About an hour in, the incoherent self aggrandised sci-bable hitting every single Ai trope without adding anything to the subject, the blatant sub-par rip off of Kubrick had me ready to switch off... The cgi was great for a low budget film but the story framework or lack of one along with student movie project levels of acting (Katie Sackhoff excepting, why did she sign up for this? Is she the new Nicholas Cage?) Had me reaching for the remote... But no I had invested an hour and a bit let it run to the end... My god wish i hadn't... Ok so really if you are doing to blatantly rip off 2001 monolith... Ai and starship design to make your movie.. Try not to blatantly rip off the entire last 20 minutes of 2001 to end your story with no ending. The film is a stunning warning about the future of mankind... How badly wrong it can go.... When trash like this gets greenlit for production
