I think people are being way to hard on this movie. I really enjoyed this solid sci-fi action flick. The acting was good, it didn't take it's self too seriously, and the effects looked great. You have to ignore some things, but it's a movie, not real life. They set up a sequel, which I would go see. I wish people would give this movie a real chance!
