Armored Core 6 is an amazing return to a classic franchise. Most of the 1 star reviews are people whining cause they can’t beat the first boss and aren’t willing to put in any effort or simply do not learn from their own mistakes. A very clear misunderstanding of the mechanics is evident, and who bases if a game is good by just the first mission/5 minutes. I have only played Elden Ring from the souls like stuff but I have played every Armored Core. This is more of what makes AC awesome and holds true to the franchise. The amount of customization is mind boggling. The arena makes a return. The Bosses are indeed challenging but very doable, bosses are not supposed to be easy. I love that they stuck to the mission briefing style story telling. It’s not for everyone, no game is but if you read through, the majority of 1 star reviews just amounts to “Game is bad because I suck” and outright false statements about the mechanics of the game simply due to not taking the time to learn them. The game does not hold your hand “surprise!” It’s FROMSOFT and exactly what you would expect from them and the Armored Core series.
