The Zone of Interest? More like a lack of interest. This film is painfully slow and dull. I can't believe how much I hated it. I've been to Auschwitz. I've been to the Anne Frank House. I've been to the Holocaust museum in DC multiple times. I've taken classes on the subject. I've seen most WW2 and holocaust films and have read several books on the subject. I'm a history teacher who also loves the Academy Awards. I expected to love this film. But I HATED it. I wanted to pull my hair out because it felt so pointless and meandering. I guess some people think it's making some grand artistic statement but it was just a gigantic waste of time.
