No way this is only 3.6 stars here, that’s insanity. I think this is my favorite Nolan film - although I think TDK beats it as a better film. Nonetheless, it isn’t your typical Nolan action/adventure movie but it is his best written. I also think it contains his best visuals - a little less than you’d think but that’s why it’s so good because the attention to detail is awesome. It also has the prototypical Nolan time-twisting linearity which adds to the story. It’s his longest, at about 3 hours but the pacing is excellent and before you know it it’s over and you’ll have your jaw on the floor. Also the best cast I’ve seen in a long time. I highly recommend this movie for anyone who loves science, and even then you don’t need to be a science-whiz to appreciate top-tier filmmaking.

13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi

If you like military movies, guns, shooting, etc., this movie is the one for you. John Krasinski is one of my favorite actors and he does a great job, as well as the supporting cast which include a lot of familiar faces. The only downside is the first 30-45 mins is a little slow with more exposition than I wanted, but once the bullets start flying, it feels like call of duty. Michael Bay is known for his extra action-packed set pieces and this fits right in. The sound design is great and I love the shooting and action. There's somewhat of a story but let's be real, this movie excels as a run-and-gun action movie and it is very entertaining.

A late 90s masterpiece. I watched this movie for the first time a few years ago and my goodness was it great. My favorite types of movies are the ones that have great attention to detail, and this I son exception. If anything this movie was ahead of time in terms of live-action affects and action sequences. They aren't you typical superhero runs around and a bunch of explosions, it feels real. It is very loud and overwhelming since they're trying to mimic an actual gunfight; deaths feel weighted and and expressions on the actors is superb. The sound editing is awesome. The story is pretty cool too, and the casting is just perfect. If you're a fan of action movies and/or stylish ones, this is it. 9/10

I believe this is Disney-Pixar's most underrated movie. I LOVE this movie! Seen it plenty of times and it still amazes me that it was made in 2007. the comedy is funny and the whole premise of the movie is so well crafted. this is a perfect family movie, date movie, and everything in between. And the ending, it is my favorite Disney ending so far. The whole theme of cooking with the mix of talking rats is kind of weird, but it works so well. This is definitely in my top-5 Disney movies and this should be in the Mt. Rushmore of Pixar films.

I went into this show expecting a Breaking Bad-wannabe drug show, but my goodness was I wrong. Honestly, this is probably one of best Netflix originals and I think it's pretty underrated (it is getting more popular now with S4 coming up). Basically the show is about a seemingly innocent family who is forced to relocate to Lake Ozark in Missouri due to Marty (the dad) being involved in a money laundering scheme organized by a drug Cartel. After moving, they quickly have to find sources of income to launder, but that catches the eye of law enforcement, politicians, and other opposition who are looking to cash in... Marty, the main character, is a very smart and kinda quirky guy who is the brains of the family operation. But as the show goes on, we see other family members and characters intervene while trying to meet their own agenda. This show I awesome, it's pretty violent sometimes, features really good writing, and awesome casting. The title cards before each episode are so cool and give hints as to what the episode will feature. Very interesting story that will always keep you at the edge of your seat. Highly recommend to anyone!

COD zombies, The Walking Dead, hell, even plants vs zombies. All these successful titles (and more) exist solely because of this movie. This movie was the beginning of the "zombie" genre we are now so familiar with in media. I'm writing as a 20-some year old who doesn't watch a lot of old movies, but man, this one is awesome!! Although the acting seems kinda funky at times (mainly because how old the movie is and its budget), the environment and the scenery Romero creates is spooky, frightening, and horrifying. The plot is actually pretty straight forward. Basically it's about a group of survivors who seek refuge in a rural house with the undead closing in. It's pretty simple,, but the way the story plays out is great and very well crafted . We see how the sheer number of the undead influence each character's behavior, especially in times of dire need, and the cool thing is each character (I think there's like 4-5) have their own personality that drives their decisions. Lastly, the score. My goodness is the music amazing. It is a very creepy and uncomfortable score that compliments the theme and the slow-walking/mindless "ghouls". I highly recommend this movie to anyone who loves zombies and horror in general. You will see how it has influenced an entire genre!

I love this movie! Del Torro and his obsession with monsters is shown perfectly in this movie! By no means is this an Academy-worthy film, but for anyone who loves action and Rock-em, Sock-em mayhem, this is the movie for you! The special effects are actually amazing, and are probably the film’s most underrated feature, and still hold up today! The practical effects are pretty cool too, and the fight scenes are so captivating it feels like you’re in the robot with the pilots fighting for your life. Some of the acting is kinda cheesy at times, but this is the movie to watch for fun and it will never disappoint!
