The beginning of the movie set the theme as to what the experience of a young boy living in a tightly-knit community had seen/remembered about the conflict within Northern Ireland. Towards the middle it started to decline in interest because of how the social differences between Protestants and Catholics are highlighted. It kept going back-and-forth with the main characters meeting up on the same block. The storyline stretched more than it should as it had only highlighted the life of a young boy within the same block he lived in with little action as compared to the extent as to how much the conflict impacted Northern Ireland as a whole. I'm giving it a three star because it set the theme from the get-go but simply stretched shortly after.
