While there are some moments in this show that can make you feel icky, I honestly think that this is a great show, the plots of the episodes are funny and entertaining, the style of this show is just a chef's kiss and the characters are what I enjoy most about this show, they're just so fun, Ketta and Rambamboo are my favorite characters, and maybe you guys reading, too, they don't act like the stereotypical female in most TV shows directed at young kids. With that out of the way, let's get to what this show is about:
The show follows two anthropomorphic mallards named Swaysway and Buhdeuce who fly around in their Rocket Van delivering bread to the citizens of Pondgea. The other characters we meet along the way are: T-Midi, a red, British owl who doesn't like the Breadwinners but is their Number 1 customer, why? It doesn't matter. The Bread Maker, he's the only human in the show per se, he is summoned by Swaysway and Buhdeuce in need of an emergency, the way they summon him is by rubbing a golden toaster. Lava Mole is the Bread Maker's enemy since they were babies, he always loses, since the Bread Maker is stronger than him. Lava Mole also has a girlfriend named Debbie who broke up with him because she thought he was a coward, but won her back when he beat the Bread Maker. Ketta is a friend (or bap in this case) of Swaysway and Buhdeuce, she fixifys the two's Rocket Van when it gets scuffed up, she is the brains of the characters in this show, she is usually happy most of the time, but there are some moments where she gets annoyed with the Breadwinners and one episode where she was a little sad. Rambamboo is a nemesis of the two ducks, she a toad and a police officer, so she needs to serve Pondga justice, the Breadwinners always get on her nerves because they speed around in their vehicle. She also has a tough personality, but the episode 'Shrunken Ducks' did her really dirty (I'm not gonna explain what happens in that episode, Google it). Oonski the Great is another enemy of swaysway and Buhdeuce, he is a Viking beaver who likes to eat, beat and steal, he tries to steal from the people of Pondgea (but mainly the Breadwinners), he also likes to try and beat up the duo. He is strong, but is not that smart and speaks in third-person. So what we can collect from that is that Oonski is a danger to Pondgea. The two bread-delivering ducks have a pet frog named Jelly, she's not really that smart, either, but she's still lovable, nevertheless. Her behavior is similar to that of a dog's, she loves Sway and Deucer very much, in the episode, 'PB and J' Jelly was heavily determined to protect her owners. And, finally, there's Mr. Pumpers, he works at his restaurant, 'Pumpers' he is in good-terms with the quazy [crazy] ducks, he is also T-Midi's bap (from subtext).
I wouldn't recommend this TV show to people who don't like gross-out, but I would recommend it to those who like it, since I love toilet-humor, I love this show, not only for that, I love the episodes, the songs. the characters and the video game vibe of it. Like I said in the beginning, even though there are some cringe-inducing scenes, I can still appreciate this show. I honestly wish there were more people who gave this a chance (same goes for Pig Goat Banana Cricket).
08/22/22: If I could describe this show with a song, it'd be Deceptacon by Le Tigre because of the weird, nostalgia vibe
