They're lucky it got one........I appear to be swimming against the tide with this one....one word, 'ridiculous'...could've been 'laughable' or 'lamentable'....a bunch of actors saying lines to one-another in an accent that didn't exist back then, Standard English...renders the whole thing totally unbelievable...makes them sound like present-day middle class accountants from the Home Counties...which isn't what they're supposed to be.
