I was excited and looking forward to seeing this movie but what a disappointment! It is not at all about Padre Pio but about the Socialist revolution in Italy following the World War I. The movie fails to connect the political events to Padre Pio. It seems as though introducing Padre Pio into such a movie is purely to gain the attention of people like me to watch this movie. Even the very character of Padre Pio, in certain situations, seems questionable. Nothing to see here at all, folks. If you want to learn about Padre Pio, stick to the books.
