I feel like some of these reviews, were made by children who got their lollipops taken away! Digging into such minute detail, coming from bullies behind a keyboard.
The movie was colorful and about girl power, It was about a girl who couldn't put a finger on who she is or where she feels she fits in. She has this ache of feeling different and the itch to want to explore it without the idea of how. Of course there was a girl crush part in it, but it had me thinking finally the boy wants the highly educated girl instead of the beautiful mean girl. I feel that was just a SMALL part of the movie! The movie was more about mother and daughter trying to figure out their relationship. (I don't want to spoil the movie!) But being a girl mom, It hits home for me. I feel girl moms could relate to it and want to hug their daughter's tight after watching it.
For the coloring of everything as in all movies your a pail, dull color when depressed and just living life, and when your confidence soars and you feel empowered your inner glow shines through!
This movie displayed a lot of references we do not see in movies today!
It showed friends being loyal till the end, Hero's finally able to battle in front of average everyday citizens and actually being cheered for!
Being beautiful is not always a good thing.
How important a mother, daughter bond can be.
The challenges we as mother's face trying to protect our kids
The struggle a teenage girl has trying to figure out where she belongs and so.... much more.
My favorite character was by far the Mom and daughter duo, With Dad and uncle playing close second!
One more thing..... Not all movies are made for children between 2-7 years of age or 13- and up! There are also children right in the middle 8-12 and this was the perfect movie for that age group!
