The movie went on and on with a lot of loose ends that never seemed to come together with cohesion… unlike the first avatar movie. It made no sense that the focus of the “sky people” in the first movie was to acquire a precious metal and in this movie… it was whale brains! (and grossly depicted at that!) The first half of the movie was technologically amazing, but the second half constantly switched from one scene to another in a disruptive fashion. I also thought that it was directed at such an elementary level that it was totally obvious what was going to happen next. As such, the second half of the movie was boring and lacked imagination. It could’ve easily been shortened by an hour.
