(MOVIE REVIEW ONLY//HAVE NOT READ THE BOOK) I can tell where the writing was trying to go, but was very rushed and dry. Some of the actors were okay, like Adaline. She was the only person I could tell that had natural talent. This whole story and experience felt like a moving Wattpad story that a 13 year old girl wrote. There wasn’t really any resolution about why Margaret hated Nica so much but loved Nigel like a son. I also wanted to know where Nica’s friends ended up, instead of them being seen near the end with no commentary. It might be okay for a cringey and cheesy love drama that is trying to be deep, but for a good romance film, it is an absolute waste of time.
