It's... Ok? Some of it is very faithful to history and a great way too learn about a very dramatic, influence period of the ancient world. Much of it, on the other hand, is gratuitous sex scenes that add nothing to the plot, or random constructed characters who are thrust into the middle of events that they certainly had no part in just to pad the runtime. A slight recommend.
