I'm not sure if it's because of playing these games for years or not but this game is slow and little boring. It's pretty and green but uninspiring and the environment is not mysterious. I don't get the same feelings you got with settlers. I realise the game is in early access. You can't even follow your people as they go about their lives. This game would stand up if you could do more in combat. Either way hopefully it will get better.
