Gritty action. Two great stars: Scott, Boone! The story is based on an Elmore Leonard short story. You can’t beat his westerns (“Hombre”, “3:10 to Yuma”, “Valdez is Coming”). Bud Boetticher (recognized as a B film master) the film’s director was a huge influence on Clint Eastwood’s directing style. Action and western film lovers should not miss this very human drama yet it is realistic to time and place.
