It was alright but Jack was so over-the-top obviously evil one dimensional character so it made it hard to be on the edge of my seat or be worried about what he would do to the protagonist. It was written alright but characters didn't feel like they had any real depth to them. It was hard for me to read reviews saying how "disturbing" it was when he was obviously seemed written by someone just trying to make him as evil and edgy as possible. Kinda hard to read and take him seriously.
