As someone who is familiar with Witcher lore and watched Game of Thrones I really don't like what is being done with The Witcher, I don't ever remember Geralt swearing as much as he does, nor do I remember the sheer amount of nudity in the series in the games or books the latter feels like someone is desperately trying to make the series popular by copying what GoT did rather than focusing on Witcher lore. 2-3 episodes are also extremely poorly edited together even I being familiar with the lore could not work out what was going on until 60% or so through the episodes when I realised certain scenes were meant to be flashbacks to give additional context to earlier episodes but absolutely nothing was done to give the viewer even a prompt those scenes were meant to be flashbacks. Overall with the exception of the actors and acting the first series production quality has felt rather amateur hour a lot of the effects in the final episode of the first series were extremely low budget and laughable during the battle. All of this isn't to say the series is bad, but thus far has done nothing at all to grip me outside of a few things that have been done to give some nods to what the games did and some extremely abbreviated back story as to how Geralt became the butcher of Blaviken. If trying toi decide of you watch The Witcher or The Mandalorian first, watch The Mandalorian. Its a lot better.
