I am a republican so read this with no expectation of being sympathetic.
However, I felt extremely sad at the way this young boy was treated by his dysfunctional family when he was grieving for his dead mother.
I was not suprised by anything I read.
How on earth could even the most gullible person have believed that these two boys could have happily accepted their fathers mistress into the family when she had been partly to blame for their parents divorce and their mothers untimely death.
The spin doctors have done a great job of making Camilla acceptable to a gullible public.
Fortunately there are enough thinking people in this country who are shocked and horrified by the thought of having a Queen Camilla.
I know enough about the House of Windsor to be confident that what Harry writes is in essence perfectly true.
I remember a satellite member of this family saying that " They possess no compassion or Christian feelings " and I fear that this is true.
There were parts of the book that I found rather whingeing but his father is a famous whinger so it is probably genetic.
All in all I enjoyed the book and I sincerely hope that having got things off his chest he can move on and be happy.
Sadly being essentially a 'Windsor ' I very much doubt it.
