It's a bummer that the show ended at only 2 seasons.
It had a great storyline, interesting characters, funny moments, and just enough drama to keep us captivated.
Additional, I think this is the first show I watched where one of the main Character was gay, and married. It's not everyday, you have a power couple like Dylan and Andy. Plus, I was just getting excited to see their new born baby.
And even better, the show included 3 power female characters, each of different races. With one of them as the mayor, one as the lieutenant, and the 3rd as the main female character (the cop).
This show was enjoyable, respectecful to all genders, race, sexualities, and even class. Not to mention that it didn't push any of the factors mentioned above. It made the relationship between, heterosexuals, same-sex couple/marriage, powerful successful females seem normal and not something that's different from the rest.
In my opinion, this show is everything we've been fighting for in terms of equality. It normalised all the differences that still cause tension in nowadays world.
If you ask me, they need to continue with the show, keeping with the script of not pushing the differences.
