I never compared an old batman to a newer one, I always watched it and judged it based on its on merits. I did no different with this. I thought this movie was great personally. Way too many haters. I liked the changes they made, the love story, the feeling of being unworthy in life until you meet someone that makes you feel better about you. I understood it all for what the message was. I personally thought it was great.
