So yeah after watching this movie I am pretty much skeptical about everything that happening in my surrounding. For real this movie movie has set the standards high for horror movies in general. I mean like seriously this movie is so goddamn amazing. I have never been so intrigued by any horror movie till this day,considering the fact that I am very huge fan of this genre.The movie was directed and written beautifully by Ari Aster. This was his directorial debut which is quiet unbelievable because this movie is so so skillfully directed. Everything in this movie is so technically sound and perfect, I could not point out any mistake in direction. I am So impressed by Ari aster now that I am Waiting to see his next venture in the same genre i want to see what this human can do to our crumbling horror standards. See if you are going in the theaters expecting jump-scares and gore you wont get it. Ari Aster seems to have mastered the skill of making a good horror film without monsters lurking in the shadows . This movie uses old school horror...so dont expect any useless monsters where it's more about how we perceive the darkness. Writer-director Ari aster has kept in mind what the audiences need ..so he makes sure its gut wrenchingly real. Lets talk about the acting performances..when i first saw the trailer i was sure Toni collette is going to give the performance of her career....and to be honest i was not let down. Toni collette gave an oscar worthy performance. She plays the role of Annie who is this disturbed women who had a very unhealthy upbringing. Toni collete has really worked hard it can be seen on the big screen. It was debut for Milly shapiro who plays the role of Charlie who is the youngest of grahm family. Milly shapiro is amazing with whatever she is given ...her character has this wierd nut allergy which makes compells her to produce a very creepy voice from her tongue. I am telling you that sound is going to give everyone nightmares. Alex wolff is stunning as Peter the eldest brother. His character is the one which we can relate to more. Just like him we are not aware of whats going on.Gabriel Byrne as the father is the only one in the family with a little bit of conscience.His characters makes you root for him...he is the one who is really going through a conflict. Ari aster has made sure that every character has a layer to justify themselves this is what makes the film more and more enjoyable. The movie takes you to hell of a roller-coaster ride which will make you sick to your stomach. The music by Colin stetson really sets the mood of the film. Mind you the last 20 minutes of the film is really a sight to behold and the background scores makes it even more disturbing to watch. The cinematography done by Pawel Pogorzelski doesn't fail to capture the raw human emotion. One of the best things about hereditary is it doesn't depend entirely on gore and jump-scares,it captures the real horrors of the life which makes it a stand out from the rest of the films. There is this one Dinner scene where Annie and peter have a fight is undoubtedly one of the best scenes ever made in cinema.....I can understand why most of the folks disliked this film,see nowadays we are so accustomed to see jump scares and monsters that we have forgotten what real horror is . The movies like Annabelle and The Nun have ruined the Genre in whole. so on a scale of one to 10 i give hereditary 9.8/10

Lunch box movie review -yogikrishnan pillai Have you ever seen a movie and after watching it you just need some time to process what are you feeling or what do you want from life,this movie made me do that, This movie pulls each and every string of your heart.I procrastinated this movie for a very long time but now I regret it, I wish I had seen it before. This movie was directorial debut of Ritesh Batra.The screenplay and this magnificent story was written by the same person. The story feels authentic like it could happen with anyone that we see on daily basis. The thing that holds everything was the story...though there was not too much to play with but Ritesh Batra has spun this story so well that everyone can somehow connect to this story.While watching you will realize one thing that you will be anticipating the arrival of the lunchbox more then the characters.One thing I can assure that you will root for two of the main characters to come together,when you get so invested in a story thats when you know the screenplay work is on point. Now lets talk about the acting work which is absolutely beautiful and awe- inspiring.Irfan khan who plays the role of sajaan who is almost more then 50 yrs old or less then that but he is old who is about to retire from his job and he has only few weeks,but there enters or another character shaikh played by Nawazuddin siddque the new age actor who has done the best he can do with his character. Shaikh is the new replacement for sajaans job.Our other lead Nimrat kaur who plays the character Illa with absolute ease and poise,she plays the role of a housewife who is desperately trying to get her husbands attention for a very long time but is unsuccessful in doing so but is guided by a lady Mrs Deshpande who lives upstairs,there isnt any scene in the movie showing this character played by Bharti Archrekar,somehow the two communicate with each other from their windows and help each other out.So the story isnt gripping or some kind of thriller its just a simple story of how we as humans need to connect with people,how we constantly need someone to hold us and tell us that everything will be alright.The characters are written so beautifully that u forget that its fictional characters ...you root for them somehow get invested in their story. The dialogues like “sometimes wrong trains lead to right paths” or “I think we forget things if we have no one to tell them to” is so alluring.the dialogues written feel so true to nature that if i was in their positions i would have said the same thing..it is really amazing how with so little to work on they create.. which is Indian cinemas best dialogues.Nothing is wrong with this movie everything is perfect the background ,lights are so damn good that you feel like its happening in reality.The background scores fill your heart with emotions. The nuances and subtle human nature is captured with so much perfection that it feels like too good to be true.This movie is fantastic and I guess everyone in some or the other way can connect to this movie it captures how vulnerable humans can be when they dont have anyone.One thing I like about the opening sequence is how the director plays with your mind I really liked ,I thought it was innovative. Im sure everyone will appreciate this movie as I do. Do watch it with your friends and family. Indain cinema still has hope kudos to Ritesh batra. See we as audience do not just want slapstick comedy or action sometimes we need a story to it all together.I believe that a movie can work with the masses even is the lack action and comedy.After all life is just story of everyone which is yet to be discovered. on a scale of one to ten 9.6/10

EXTREMELY WICKED,SHOCKINGLY EVIL AND VILE The movie EXTREMELY WICKED,SHOCKINGLY EVIL AND VILE was based on the book ‘The Phantom Prince: My life with Ted Bundy’ written by Elizabeth Kendall who was a long time girlfriend of Americas most infamous serial killer Ted Bundy. The movie is solely based on the memoir of Elizabeth Kendall,though there was some changes made in the screenplay by Michael Werwie for making the plot more interesting.The movie stars Zac Efron as Ted Bundy which was the most accurate casting decision for this story.Zac efron completely transforms himself into this character, that every time when he stares at the camera you can feel the evil in his eyes...which i think is absolutely brilliant,our other main lead Elizabeth kendall played by Lilly collins doesn't get much screen time and I did not like her performance in it.The problem with her character was that it felt rushed and there wasn't much of the layer given to her character,like the story didn't justify her actions or whatever she did . Even while she was doing a drinking scene in the movie it felt unreal and not authentic.See somewhere we need to connect with the characters of the movie otherwise the audience wont root for the characters suffering or whatever they are going through in their life. So yea they ruined a good opportunity to create a better character arch for Collins The story though is slow and real,it wont directly take you into gore and violent stuff did by Ted Bundy.The screenplay progresses steadily which is very fine until it feels to stretched out. See we as movie goers know that Ted Bundy was rightfully convicted of these murders but the movie spends so much time in convincing and tricking us to think maybe he didn't do those vicious things,but that when the director Joe Berlinger loses the point that this is a real life story and not a fictional tale.Screenplay falls flat on the ground because there was a lack of creative thinking.The movie had its potential but the writer and director put it to total waste. See if you decide to watch a biography of a serial killer you expect some nail biting sequences and story that will keep you on the edge of your seats,but this movie didn't have any of the features which would make it worth a watch.There is a reason why Ted Bundy is considered the most famous serial killer of all but this movie didnt justify his sheer evilness and how he committed those crimes. The movie would have been good because everything other then the screenplay was perfect . The set designs will surely take you to 90’s time....everything the costume,the cars ...street lights everything was flawless The dialogue department really did their work because every dialogue is appropriate considering the fact that it was all said in real life too.The background music have done its job without any mistakes. kudos to all the supporting actors Angela sarafyan who plays Joanna who is friends with Elizabeth The judge Edward Cowart played by John Malkovich was absolutely stunning,his character really stole the show Kaya scodelario who plays this delusional character Carole Boone who is madly in love with Ted bundy and the only person who belives his innocence who is ready do anything to help Bundy.This character is a adapted by the real life wife of Ted Bundy who married her during a court trial The real life Ted Bundy was smart,handsome and intelligent.he would commit crimes with pure evilness which this movie fails to capture that is what i consider the downfall of this movie so on a scale of 1 to 10 6.5/10
