Brilliant! I'm a fan of the book and for all it's faults I do hold the 90s version of the movie in a special place in my heart (mainly because I bought it with my pocket money as a child and watched it many times). I was sceptical about whether or not I could accept a re make but wow what a great movie. If you have small children this could very well be too scary, there is a very 'clown from IT' style moment which shocked and delighted my son and myself, this would possibly terrify some children but as a child I would have loved this ballsy mild horror approach. From a cynical, hard to please (just ask my fella), easily distracted woman who struggles to sit still and watch anything, this is a marvellous movie and I can't wait to watch it again.
