After thoroughly enjoying Kilmead's book on the Alamo, I was particularly interested in his expose on my favorite president's relationship with another prime mover, Booker T. I was not disappointed! Kilmead's incredibly quick and fluid style vaults the reader into the heart of a most dubious and difficult relationship--a respectful though distant friendship--of two great and foreward-thinking Americans. Bravo, Brian! You are a fine researcher, writer and patriot.
