I found this drama series to be quite unsettling as this story of young Liverpool lads and lasses gives a very depressing portrayal of life in the Merseyside capital. Is life there really only about who you can get off with and how much booze and smack etc you can put away? This series alongside another drama series set in the same City (The Responder...Martin Freeman) is very dark and just wants to make you switch off or turn the channel over. So black and so downwardly depressing! In these difficult times it's hard to reconcile the gloom these 2 series evoke with the need for happier more positive entertainment that we all could well benefit from. I just felt so despondent at the levels of negativity these so called pieces of modern drama created.
