Having watched Richard Osman on TV, I thought this book would be witty and cleverly written. Unfortunately for me, it was neither. I managed to get to chapter 56 and gave up.
The story did not flow for me. It seemed to waffle with too much insignificant storyline and divert into irrelevant avenues which I did not feel added to the story. The texting of the female constable with kisses at the bottom of the messages!?!. I agree with one of the other reviews, it was like reading an Enid Blyton book .... of which I read many as a child. I stuck with it as long as I could but felt my time could be better served with reading a better written book.
