I've recommended this to everyone who likes horror and innovative techniques. This is an experimental horror movie. This movie uses color, sound, and tunnel vision to evoke anxiety and paranoia. They show you glimpses of darkness to disorient you and eventually they give enough information to understand where you are in the house. The creators produced an extremely artistic vision. One of my favorite horror movies of all time. I've never had a jump scare work for me. I feel like people who are talking negatively about this movie aren't relaxing their standard expectations for new age horror. I am not a fan of gore, I am a psychological thriller person. So, that being said, this movie was perfect for me. If you have a fear of the dark, and not being able to see what is in your surrounding area and would like to receive a dose of paranoia in a controlled environment. THIS IS FOR YOU. Also, reviews are really good to get an idea of the movie before spending money of course! However, watching the movie before reading these reviews allowed me to form my own opinion! I'm very happy that I watched this before reading these reviews so that I wasn't influenced by others opinions. I recommend doing that with all movies because it could be a bust or a favorite! I hope you enjoy this movie as much as I did.
