The Great HOKKUSA

forgive me if this review is a little infuriating to some of you. koe no katachi is a good film, a good film indeed. but it doesn't really compare to other anime like kimi no na wa. let me explain. sure the anime has some ups, it has more meaning in the story, but other than that, your name beats this anime in everything else. something that really ruined the experience for me is that it is overhyped, and is over rated, so i watched the movie with high expectations. but when i finished, it didn't even reach those expectations. i expected to watch something that will make me cry, but it didnt. i was disappointed at the film. because of that i watched another anime; i want to eat your pancreas, and that movie made me tear up. it was actually better than this. im not saying this is trash, im just saying it could have been better. its they're mistake for overhyping this, and its my mistake for setting such high expectations for this film. but in the end, i still enjoyed it. i rate it 5.5/10
