I don't understand why people keep calling this show superficial and not deep. I have watched Sam's other work, Euphoria and there are parallels that you can draw from that show. Sam even said that the show takes place in the same universe. However, I did find the elements that made this show different quite decent. This show is layered and is able to extract and show the depths of the glamor life as well as the life of a person who is looking for an anchor at times of turmoil. The issue I had with the first two episodes was less focus on the story. But I am sure that will change in the next few episodes.
