On one hand, I liked the subtle humor and wit in most episodes. The premise was really interesting as the backdrop to dry humor hits. And there were some moments that I was near tears because of the wonderful disjunction of the humor with the dark tone.
However, the overall arc of the series feels very disjointed. It's like they just decided to cram brainstormed ideas from the floor into different episodes and then sort of put it on a timeline. If there was another season (I feel the Internet is mixed whether that's even a longshot) maybe they could pull it together, but they setup things like they would develop characters and then didn't.
The idea could of worked as a collection of short, disconnected episodes but it sort of walked the line in between zany one-offs and slow, boring continuity in an awkward way.
