McQueen is giant of cinema not afraid to focus on hard issues that we need to confront within ourselves in order to progress through our life journey and resolve the historical injustices we inherit.
Blitz is another personal challenge, and the genius of that challenge is perspective. George's journey back home is an instrument through which we get to see what a hero is to George, and we get to feel the absence of control that faces London and its occupants from a child's perspective. It is genius.
