I absolutely loved this book. It really showcases the horrifying, very-possible future for America. I love how the author included the bad parts about America but also showed patriotism. it really differs from the whole "America is the best country" thing. The book acknowledges flaws, which I find amazing.
I love the representation of Islam here. Difference point of views, choices, the real stuff. And it's not only that.
The only thing that was unrealistic (although didn't affect my liking of this book) about this was the plot was very fast moving. To light inspection, it seemed as if she was in the camp for mere weeks.
I also like how they have a touch of trauma after-affects for the main character.
I would definitely recommend to anyone interested in learning about Islam, Islamaphobia, anit-semitism, and racism. Or even if someone likes books like The Hunger Games, Divergent, or holocaust-related books
