The only true positives to this game are the addition of superstar mode and mini games. Aside from that, it’s basically the same. I’ve only played it for a couple hours, but it’s still a severely animation dependent game and many animations don’t play out in a realistic way. Gameplay is largely unchanged with the exception of a few new tackling and catching animations. Still can’t throw realistic back shoulder throws or lobs in the corner of the end zone. You’d honestly be better off buying an Xbox 360 or PS3 and getting All Pro Football 2K8. If you’re not familiar with that game, YouTube it. You’ll see why those of us who have been a part of simulation football gaming since at least the late 90’s-early 2000’s set such high standards for Madden.
