For the first time, my young child invited me to watch a movie/program with him. He’s learning how to speak and follow storylines so I was excited. He has a kid’s account, and selected this movie/program (that is categorized under ‘kids’) as a new movie neither of us had seen yet. I was very saddened and disappointed to see things like the main characters being beheaded just a few minutes into the movie. He’s disabled so it took a little time and effort but I was eventually able to persuade him to watch something different. It’s not up to Netflix to know that my child has already had a traumatic year, but it would be nice if they specified (and emphasized) “which” kids this was geared towards. I incorrectly assumed it was safe for my child to select a program right next to “Number Blocks.” I guess now I will have to figure out if Netflix has parental blocks on their kids accounts, if that would even help. Thanks Netflix ❤️.
