god, i love this show so much. it honestly took me kind of a while to get into it; i'd watch a few episodes and then lose interest, then reignite my interest just to fall off again a few episodes later, and on. but by the end of season one i was *completely* enthralled, and finished the rest of the series in a number of days. i just finished the series a few days ago and it has not left my mind since. i love the colorful, safe animation. i love the inclusivity in their characters. i love the plot points. i love how they handle big, adult themes throughout the course of the show, but it still seems like something a child could understand and enjoy. oftentimes when i watch something like this, i feel like it's overrated. and i think that's why it took me so long to get through the first season. simply put, the show gets better as you go on, and the first few episodes made me feel like i was getting into something that wasn't worth it. but this is not over-hyped. enthusiastic fans are not over-exaggerating. if mature (but still child-friendly) animation is something that you enjoy, i guarantee that you will love this. if you haven't watched it yet, please slot out some time in your bingeing schedule to do so.
