I’m broken hearted reading the negative reviews left for this movie. The movie is amazing. Beautiful cinematography and surreal locations. This movie is not for someone who goes into a horror movie expecting jump scares and monsters (fans of insidious, Conjuring, etc.) The movie is not at all slow paced tbh, just the right amount the story needs to be. The ending explains a lot yet opens room for a lot of questions too, which is good in my opinion, there’s a lot of brain rot content out there, it is a breath of fresh air to have horror movies that force you to think like a David Lynch film.

Boring! I went into this story following all the hype. It is very slow and boring and lacked to invest me in any of its characters or their stories. I really really don't understand how this story got so famous. I do understand that it was from a different time but mid 20th century had a lot of better gothic stories compared to this laughable joke. The story paces very slowly, following mundane events of hill House. And then, towards the last few pages, the author has hurried off and finished it however possible. Lacks any impact or emotional investment whatsoever.
