Wonderful story. It's my understanding that this part of Mexico's Civil War history isn't taught in schools. If that's the case the Mexican people are at a loss. Wonderful actors. I absolutely loved it. If I had complaint it would be that there we only Spanish subtitles, since I have bad hearing I wasn't able understand a lot of what was said. But in spite of that this movie should have been nominated for an Academy Award, not to have done so was a slight to the Mexican people and the actors in the movie. The main actors Andy Garcia, Peter O'Toole and Eva Longoria were great in there parts. The history of the Mexican people is something that should be taught even in America, especially in California where I live. Even to this day I was told that Catholic clergy are prohibited from wearing clerical dress in public in Mexico.
